Cut fuel use and lower what the fleet costs you

Fuel is on average 40 % of a fleet's total cost of ownership. To bring that down, Navifleet scores how your people drive. From that you get a ranking of the least economical drivers, a chart of the most fuel-hungry habits and a view of what consumption would look like without those mistakes. At the same time, every driver gets personal tips in the mobile app on how to drive more economically.

Track driving style without intruding on drivers' privacy

In the Navifleet Driver app every driver can mark a journey as business or private. Staff stop worrying about their privacy, and you keep a tool that brings fuel spending down.

Catch the least safe drivers before they cause an accident

Better to remove the danger than to settle the claim. The risky driver ranking does that by picking out the people who like to drive recklessly. You can see who breaks speed limits and fails to anticipate danger, and so puts others at risk on the road.

Replace tyres, pads and discs half as often

One of the things a driver is scored on is harsh braking. With personal tips in the mobile app, drivers use the throttle and the brake more sensibly. Smoother driving can double the life of wear parts.

Negotiate your insurance rates

Better driving means fewer claims, and fewer claims mean room to negotiate with the insurer. More and more often, simply having telematics is an argument in itself.

Look after the budget and the environment alike

Economical driving is easier on the environment too. Give your people a tool for driving better and run the fleet in line with ESG guidance, which shapes more and more of how business is done. Eco-driving helps the environment: less PM10 and PM2.5 particulate matter, which harms the circulatory system and other organs.

Navifleet Driver — the driver sees their score and knows what to improve

The app scores a journey on six things: acceleration, braking, gears, idling, speed and throttle-brake use. For each one the driver gets a personal tip — without being distracted by messages while driving.

What working with us looks like

We work in your interest

See what Navifleet customers value

Gamification that engages without souring

In Navifleet you can set challenges for the fleet that motivate drivers to change their habits behind the wheel — contests with prizes, in teams or individually.

A dedicated rollout contact

We will not leave you without support. Every new customer gets their own success manager who helps reach the goal the system was brought in for. We work on your result together.

You are not the one teaching the drivers

We do not add to your workload. During the rollout you have our full support, including training materials for drivers. Afterwards the mobile app takes over the teaching, and you watch the progress.

An alternative to track days

The results of classroom eco-driving courses last a few days. The Navifleet Driver app teaches continuously, without pulling anyone away from their work, and gives each driver the feedback they need.

You get only the data you can use

The app delivers finished analysis as reports, charts and rankings. We will not bury you under hundreds of pointless numbers — only the ones you actually need. Quality over quantity.

“Navifleet lets us manage and settle the work of our sales representatives effectively. The analytics module, where we built our own dashboard, is a big plus. A trouble-free platform and quick service — I recommend it.”

Marek Matug Marek Matug
Maintenance Manager, Certech

“Working with Navifleet, we can keep control of our entire fleet infrastructure. We operate across Poland, and the system brought our data together so it is easier to analyse. The Navifleet team listens to suggestions and can be relied on. Recommended.”

Artur Radłowski Artur Radłowski
Administration Manager, EO Networks

Can driving style be improved without technology?

Telling drivers off without evidence, carrot-and-stick methods that do not work, vague data that may not even be right — that is usually what trying to improve driving style without technology looks like.

We can say plainly that in a fleet of dozens or hundreds of vehicles, doing this without telematics is either ineffective or simply impossible.

Driving style analysis exists precisely to avoid all that. The process runs automatically and produces results we can measure and show you. To get everything out of the tool, our customer success manager will take you through the rollout step by step.

Learn more about economical driving

How do we protect drivers' privacy?

The driver app has a “private mode”. Depending on the journey, drivers choose private or business. Private mode hides their location on the map completely, while the fleet manager still sees the cost of the journey, the kilometres covered and the fuel used. You keep track of how the car is used and how much fuel it burns, while respecting drivers' privacy.

How much do Navifleet customers typically save?

Every fleet is different. Savings can reach the mid-teens in percentage terms over a year. If you want to see the numbers we have produced for our customers, have a look at the case studies.

What does it cost and when does it pay back?

The monthly subscription for the Driving style analysis module is €5 net per vehicle. On top of that comes the cost of buying or renting the GPS tracker. Fuel savings from driving style telematics can reach the mid-teens in percentage terms, and to those add longer life for wear parts, better insurance rates and fewer claims. Those amounts do not just cover what the system costs — they go beyond it. You can see for yourself by taking the free trial. Learn more about the free rollout.

What does the contract look like?

The contract is one simple page with no small print. You can leave whenever you want. See how it looks with device rental or without.

What is my part in improving how drivers drive?

A fleet manager should not have to play teacher. Your part is to give drivers the means to improve and to keep an eye on the process — plus the occasional nudge. How do I motivate people to drive economically? The challenges you create in the Driving style analysis module will help.

What does telematics do better than classroom safe-driving courses?

With the Navifleet Driver app a driver learns every time they drive, so the effect lasts. After a one-day or even a several-day course, both the knowledge and the enthusiasm evaporate within days.

What does the Driving style analysis module measure?

The app scores a journey on six things: acceleration, braking, gears, idling, speed and throttle-brake use. The driver knows exactly what they did wrong and where on the road, and we do not distract them with messages while they drive — safety comes first.

Detection of uneconomical habits also draws on vehicle data (speed, throttle position and engine revs), location data and supporting data such as gradient and the posted speed limits.

What is the total cost of a vehicle or a fleet?

TCO means total cost of ownership, indirect costs included (in English: total cost of ownership). Direct fleet costs include buying the vehicles, official fees (registration documents, insurance) and the cost of running them (fuel, repairs and so on). Indirect costs vary from fleet to fleet — staff training, fleet management software and much else. With Navifleet you influence several important parts of fleet TCO

  • lower fuel consumption through better driving,
  • a tighter grip on fuel in the company and no risk of theft at the pump,
  • less risk of a claim caused by the person driving,
  • settlement for private use of the vehicles,
  • avoiding excess mileage charges on leased vehicles.
Do I need the leasing or fleet management company's consent to fit the devices?

The way we fit the devices is fully reversible and leaves no trace. We advise customers to tell their leasing company that they intend to fit telematics, and if that company has questions about how it is done, we will support you.

What does GPS tracking do to the battery?

A properly configured device has no meaningful effect on the battery. While driving, data is collected in real time and sent every few seconds; when parked, the tracker saves power and sends data once every 2 hours.
