Our devices are designed for self-installation. For every vehicle we have prepared installation diagrams that clearly show where to fit the device, how to position the signal antennas and how to verify that the device has been installed correctly. Our customers can call on technical advisers who oversee the installation and help complete it if any difficulties arise. The alternative is to have the installation carried out by one of our 42 mobile installers and service technicians.
WHAT DOES THE INSTALLATION PROCESS LOOK LIKE?

1. The installer arrives
We have a mobile team of installers working with us across the whole country. Installation can be carried out at weekends, in the evenings, and at any location along the vehicle's route: a loading site, a car park, a petrol station. The installer arrives at the agreed location and gets to work.
2. Locating the power source
A GPS tracker depends on the vehicle's supply voltage. Three wires are all it needs to work correctly: a wire with a constant 8–30 V supply, a negative wire, and a wire that is live once the engine is running. A full set of these wires is usually available in all the locations shown above. In the worst case, an additional wire has to be run from the device to the power source.
3. Connecting the device and checking it works
Once the power wires have been located, our installers always check that the device is working correctly. Correct operation is signalled by LEDs for GSM and GPS coverage respectively. If the device does not respond as expected, the installers connect it to a laptop and verify the settings loaded in the software. This step eliminates software errors entirely and allows the installation to move to the next stage.
4. Connecting external sensors where needed (CAN, fuel probe)
Where required, our installers connect additional accessories to the device's inputs and outputs. Our trackers support fuel probes, cargo space thermometers, CAN bus, loader cranes, a cargo door opening control module and a snow plough position sensor.
5. Positioning the antennas
The position of the two antennas is the most important part of the whole installation. Neglecting this step will weaken the signal, or even cause it to drop out completely if the antennas are prone to shifting as the vehicle drives or the machine operates. Each antenna comes with an adhesive pad or a strong magnet so that it can be fixed firmly in place. It is important that the antennas are not covered by metal parts.
6. Concealing the device
At our customers' specific request, installers conceal trackers in hard-to-reach places or in places where drivers do not usually expect to find such devices. This reduces the risk of sabotage or complete destruction of the tracker and its peripherals by unauthorised persons.
