Vehicle handover between drivers

In the Navifleet Manager mobile app we have added a feature that allows a vehicle to be handed over directly to the next driver without a separate return and re-collection of the vehicle.

Why does it matter?

• the vehicle handover process is shorter and simpler,

• drivers perform fewer operations and do not duplicate the same information,

• instead of two documents, a single joint handover report is created,

• the administrator has access to the full handover history together with the handover reports.

How does the new feature work?

The driver handing over the vehicle starts the process in the mobile app. The next driver then takes over the vehicle, and the result of the whole process is a single joint handover report signed by both parties.

All completed handovers are also available in the web app in the Handovers module.

How to enable the feature?

The feature is disabled by default. To enable it, the administrator should go to the details of the selected vehicle and then, in the Handover types section, switch on the Handover between drivers option.
