How to identify the least safe drivers?
Updated: 4 January 2022
One of the tasks of the Driving Style Analysis module is to verify driver behaviour in terms of safety. On this basis, a ranking of the least safe drivers is created. It is built dynamically from the selected drivers in a given period and includes drivers whose average score for Speed and Braking was below 3.0.

Driving safety is assessed based on the frequency of harsh braking and driving at speeds significantly higher than the posted limits allow. Minor speeding is ignored and does not affect the driver's score.
In addition, the ranking shows auxiliary data that helps diagnose why a driver has been classified as unsafe.
The Harsh braking (1) item shows what percentage of all braking was harsh. Technically speaking, this parameter shows what proportion of the vehicle's kinetic energy was dissipated abruptly, which means the factor takes into account both the number of harsh manoeuvres and the amount of speed lost. Distance above the speed limit (2) shows what proportion of the route was driven faster than the regulations allow (the score does not take minor speeding into account), while Average excess speed (3) tells you by how much the driver drives too fast. The value is calculated based on detected sections of driving significantly faster than the posted speed limits allow.

Clicking a driver in the ranking opens the "Score details card", which gives you more options for analysing their driving style. You can find more information on this in the article How to analyse a driver's score in detail?
